The Search to Find the Perfect Retexturizing Gel… I’ve searched the shelves of beauty stores, testing different friends’ suggestions and trying out various brands to find the perfect retexturizing product that I could not only use on myself but suggest to my clients as well.   It may not sound like a difficult task, but because our skin is always changing due to hormones, sun damage, environmental effects and even just plain ol’ everyday stress, it’s great to find a product that can be used with various skin types from sensitive skin, acne prone and even mature skin all while creating a wonderful glow regardless of the skin type! I am very cautious when it comes to my skin since my late twenties and now in my early thirties I have had acne prone, oily skin. I have tried retexturizing products that were so strong that under a magnify lamp in the esthetician’s suite you could see tiny little scratches to your skin (I don’t care how dry your skin is…but harsh products like that are harming your skin rather than improving it!). I’ve also found retexturizing products that caused me to break out after a few tries, and there have been wonderful products that would put a huge dent in my wallet if I even contemplated purchasing them! (I have kids’ sports, back to school shopping and bills I have to worry about, rather than purchasing an overly priced product that you’re only purchasing for the name.) I needed something not only effective but affordable. I Have Found The One I Love! Ladies and Gentlemen…the search is over!!! I have found the one I love! (Note to my husband, you’re not being replaced…I promise!) But I have discovered this amazing retexturizing gel from Clearista which was reasonably priced and it has found its way into my daily routine with my other favorite products! It’s Clearista’s Retexturizing Gel and it came in such cute packaging that it even looks good out on your vanity with its blue container and gem like lid!     How I Use Clearista’s Retexturizing Gel In My Routine… Clearista’s Retexturizing Gel is very effective but gentle enough where it can be used one to two times a day. Due to my history of breakouts, I recommend for myself and anyone with acne prone or sensitive skin to use it once a day. On those days that you have a lot of makeup on, or thick sunscreen use it not only in the morning but once at night. This will not only exfoliate your skin but also help rid your skin of congested areas and prevent future breakouts. After I am finished cleansing my face with my favorite cleanser, I apply a quarter size amount of the retexturizing gel on a freshly washed, damp face and massage in a circular motion for about 45 seconds and rinse with luke warm water. What makes this gel such a great product is that it’s packed with jojobo beads which is an amazing gentle exfoliator and the beads give you not only a scrub, moisturizer and a serum all in one bottle. You can use the gel on your upper arms, hands, feet, backside and anywhere you need a little exfoliation. After I rinse my face, I spritz with a toner then apply my moisturizer and I’m set!   Overall Review of Clearista’s Retexturizing Gel… Overall Clearista’s Retexturizing Gel is like a microdermabrasion in a bottle! It’s a lifesaver! As much as I love getting facials (even though I can do my own, I enjoy the relaxation of having it done by another Esthetician) but I simply don’t have the time or energy to do so. The convenience of having a product that works so well with instant results and a wonderfully reasonable price tag is pretty difficult to find, so when you discover a great one, you just gotta hold on tight and never let go! It did everything from hydrate, tighten, soften and smooth my skin and leave me with a beautiful glow. I loved the fact that even with all my freckles, I was able to achieve a smoother; more even toned brightness after several uses. It is a great product and I will be recommending it to my friends, family and my clients. Hope you guys enjoy the product as much as I do! Glytone Mild Gel wash is my ride-or-die of the facial cleanser world and lives 24/7 in my shower or on my bathroom counter (and that is valuable space so that means something); it does everything that I need it to and more, and I love when a product does that, it just gives me more reason to love it. I don’t know what it is about my skin or if it's the makeup I wear or what, but I am a person who needs to exfoliate on a very regular basis to avoid the buildup of dead skin cells on my face. For some reason my skin sheds its cells so much, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason. Because of this I am always looking for products that do double duty or help exfoliate gently enough to use on a regular basis without hurting or over drying my skin; and my search has ended because Gyltone Mild Gel Wash is just the thing I am looking for and just the thing my skin needs to stay clear, smooth, and radiant. After a long day of work, errands, the gym, and whatever else my hectic schedule has to offer me; not only do I have all the oil and makeup built up from the day to take care of before hitting the sheets, I also have environmental junk on my face from pollution in the air. I am also way tired  and the last thing I want to do (although I know I should and I love the results) is do a multi-step system of cleansing, toning, and exfoliating that will take me what feels like forever and distance me from the comfort of my loving bed.   The Glytone Mild Gel Wash solves all of that in one step and I love it more than I have loved any other facial cleanser. It removes my makeup, even stubborn eye makeup, it dissolves all oil and dirt, balances the PH of my skin to leave it with the perfect level of natural moisture, and doesn’t cause that tight feeling a lot of other facial cleansers cause from over drying. This has been a lifesaver for me in the mornings because I know this product works, and it works fast! This product was created through the collaboration of two pharmacists and a doctor. If you are someone who has serious skin issues, extremely sensitive skin, or if your dermatologist has you on skincare regimen, it is recommended you consult them before using this product. Since using this product, I have noticed a reduction in my break out problem spots and I haven’t seen any new blemishes pop up. I personally attribute this to the fact that it uses glycolic acid to do all of the wonderful things that it does, the balance and the formula of this product is amazing. The consistency of this product is really gel like, as the name would suggest but it is a thicker gel so it does require some water to really get the lather going, once it does lather, it is the perfect amount and the  lather rinses clean without any residue left behind. It preps the skin perfectly for your moisturizer and if you use it in the morning, leaves the perfect canvas for applying makeup. I’ve fallen head over heels for this product.
